Volunteer for Worship

There are many opportunities to serve in preparation for and during our worship services each Sunday.

Bulletin Preparation - Each week on Wednesday afternoon, you can help prepare the bulletins for the weekly service.  If you are interested in this opportunity, contact Julie Koch or the church office, 952-831-4746 or office@ststephen.net.

Usher - Assist with the flow of services, offerings and communion on Sunday mornings.  If interested, contact the church office (952-831-4746).  This is is a need at each of our Sunday morning services and during special holiday services.

Communion Server - Assist with our communion service on Sunday morning.  This is a need at every Alternative Worship Service and two times a month at our Traditional Worship Services.  If interested, contact the church office (952-831-4746).

Reader - Assist with Sunday services by reading our lessons.  This is a need at our Traditional Worship Service each Sunday.  If interested, contact the church office (952-831-4746.)

Altar Guild -Work with the committee to prepare the altar and the Sanctuary for Sunday services.  Preparations are based on the season of the church with meetings held on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 am.  For more information, contact the church office (952-831-4746.)

Greeters - An important part of the Sunday morning experience at St. Stephen is the welcoming feeling you get when you come in the door.  Our greeters play an important role in providing this experience.  Greeters are needed before each service on Sunday mornings.  If interested in this opportunity, contact the church office (952-831-4746.)

Drivers - We like to make sure that all who wish to come together with us on Sunday morning are able to do so and we provide transportation services for those unable to get themselves to church.  We are always looking for drivers to help us provide this service.  If you are intersted, contact the church office (952-831-4746).

Coffee Servers - Coffee and snacks provide an opportunity for fellowship in between our services on Sunday.  Responsibilities include preparing the coffee and traying up the snacks.  All coffee and snacks are provided, you would simply serve.  If you are intersted in this volunteer opportunity, contact the church office (952-831-4746).

Librarians - St. Stephen has a fabulous library full of books and resource materials for children, young adults, parents and adults of all ages.  Everyone is welcome to join our work sessions or be a volunteer librarian during our hours of operation on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.  For more information on the library and the opportunities that exist, contact the church office (952-831-4746).

Worship Visitor Notes - Each week, those who visit one of our worship services receive a hand written note thanking them for worshipping with us and inviting them to return.  If interested in helping with these notes, please contact the church office (952-831-4746).
