Outreach Missions

At St. Stephen, we are committed to changing lives through living out Christ's message of love, hope, and acceptance both inside and outside the walls of our church.

To that end, St. Stephen has formed many fabulous partnerships with ministries and congregations around the world, giving us an opportunity to share God's story with countless others.

Spirit Lake Nation, Fort Totten, ND - Our congregation is a partner with the Dacotah O'yate Lutheran Church located on the Spirit Lake Reservation.  We support them with ministries and visits throughout the year.

Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Shannon and Jackson Counties, SD - The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, known as the Rez by its inhabitants, is one of the largest, poorest reservations in the country.  Home to the Oglala Lakota Sioux nation, approximately 40,000 people live on this stunning terrain located south of Badlands National Park and the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands.  This nation is in the process of opening a mission to help support the poorest of their nation and the many orphans whose home is the Rez.

Argentina -  St. Stephen has visited the Resistencia area in this country on previous mission trips.  Another trip is currently being planned.

Tanzania - Our congregation has made two visits to this part of the world to support missions in education, village development and health care.  Talks are underway for another journey in October of 2011.
