CANTUS is the premier men’s vocal ensemble in the United States and our own Erik Ellingsen is a member. The group successfully blends national tours, subscription concerts in the Twin Cities, and recording projects. The ensemble is also committed to educational endeavors, specifically their “Artist in Residence” program. This concert brings together more than 200 students from three Minnesota schools; Armstrong High School in Plymouth; Minneapolis South High School; and Cambridge-Isanti High School; and will be the culmination of their work. CANTUS visits them throughout the school year, inspiring them to sing and perform more musically. Each choir, including CANTUS, will perform separately and together. This will be a choral extravaganza not to be missed.
