Children's Choirs

Our Childrens Music Ministry has opportunities for children as young as three.  What a great way for a child to learn the joy of music, share their talents with the congregation and form a special bond with God.

Thy Little Ones - This choir is for children ages 3 yrs. to Kindergarten.  Thy Little Ones sing approximately 3-4 times a year at our services on Sunday morning.  These performances are usually in conjunction with a holiday - Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and end of the Sunday School year.  They also perform at Peace Sunday, our annual All Church Choir Concert and are part of our annual Christmas program in December.  Practice for this group is Wednesdays from 6:40 pm to 7:00 pm (following our Alleluia Class offered for this same group on Wednesday evenings.)  During performances, children are asked to wear blue St. Stephen vests.  These vests are available for purchase or may be borrowed from the church for our performances.  To register your child for this choir, please complete the 2010-2011 Sunday School/Choir Registration Form and drop it off at the Welcome Desk or at the church office.  Thy Little Ones is directed by Linda Olson and Ashlie Keith.

Choristers - This choir is for children from 1st - 5th Grades.  Choristers sing once a month at our 9:45 and 11:00 worship services on Sunday morning.  They also participate in special events surrounding holidays and lead the Children's Christmas program in December.  Practice for this group is on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 6:40 pm at St. Stephen. During performances, children typically wear a Choirsters blue sweatshirt.  These sweatshirts are available for purchase from our music ministries or they may be borrowed.  To register your child for this choir, please complete the2010-2011 Sunday School/Choir Form and drop it off at the Welcome Desk or at the church office.  Choristers is directed by Linda Olson.

Kids Handbell Choir - Another musical opportunity exists for your child with the St. Stephen Kids' Handbell Choir.  Children from 2nd to 6th grade are invited to be a bell ringer with practices occuring Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm. The Kids' Handbell Choir typically performs once a month at the 9:45 service, usually at the same service as the Choristers.  In addition to the Sunday Services, the Kids' Handbell Choir is also part of the annual All Church Choir Concert in the spring.  To register your childre for this choir, please complete the 2010-2011 Sunday School/Choir Registration Form and drop it off at the Welcome Desk or at the church office.  The Kids' Handbell Choir is directed by Mary Ann Neighbor.
